This poor bed had been bashed about and broken on one if its main side pillars. Numerous attempts at glueing and nailing and screwing throughout the years had failed. I carefully cut out the broken part and turned a new one with spigots at either end with 3cm diameter. Corresponding drill holes were made in the pillar and the lower part to accept the turned spigots. This gave the final repair far more strength.
